CD Comparison

Updated: Jan 7, 2021

I have thus far completed two albums of old-style piano music, however, if you listen carefully you can perhaps tell how I’ve changed in the space between the two CDs. The first CD was done about the time I turned thirteen, this latest CD of mine was done just about now, so now I’m about thirteen and a half. When the first CD was recorded, I liked it, I was satisfied with it, now, I think it was good, but I know that I could play the songs much better now. I sometimes surprise myself with how fast I improve at playing the piano. I like my new CD a lot now, but I know that in a few months I most likely will be able to play much better than I do at the present. I suppose that the software Transcribe! has been one of the most helpful things for me in the last few months, Fascinating Rhythm has done wonders for my abilities on the piano, I mostly have improved from before with rhythm, and by using Transcribe! hearing the clever things that great pianists like George Gershwin and Fats Waller put into their spectacular pieces. It is quite an interesting thing, how I improve over time, God has given me great abilities with music, and it is very interesting, even to me, to compare my two CDs with one another, and see how much I’ve changed over such a short time frame.
